COOL HEATING CAMPAIGN – Renewable Energy Association (REA)
In the run up to a new Government initiative to support renewable heat technologies, the REA and its members wanted to run a Campaign to highlight the opportunities for modern wood heating. We worked with the REA and 9 biomass companies to run the ‘Cool Heating’ Campaign’ – a series of breakfast seminars across the country. A highlight of the Campaign was a ‘Cool Heating’ DVD, shown at the events as well as streamed on-line and given away as a free DVD. Biomass heating companies such as Forever Fuels and Rural Energy also used special editions of this DVD to highlight their own products.
NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH – Verdo Renewables UK
“One Planet Media delivered a quality DVD to explain a new wood fuel product – it exceeded our expectations” - Alistair McGlynn, Verdo Renewables
Verdo Renewables UK are a major UK-based renewable energy company producing quality wood pellets and briquettes for both fuel and horse bedding. Our brief was to produce a short on-line DVD showing how wood pellets can be successfully used as horse bedding. Part educational and part personal story, the DVD is being used as a focus for export opportunities to the Middle East and Europe.
Verdo Renewable also asked OPM to produce an informational film on their new wood briquettes product – a great alternative to standard logs. This was integrated with a ‘Focus Group’ film of testimonials of people who use the product.
COMPANY SALES AND MARKETING PUSH – Windhager UK
Windhager UK are a successful and rapidly growing biomass and solar technology company. As part of their strategy to seize the opportunity of the Government’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), they wanted an up to date promotional and informational film that told potential new clients about themselves and their products. The film was targeted at potential clients in the social housing, residential care, local government and other commercial sectors.
WHEN A MINISTER COMES TO VISIT – News Event
Verdo Renewables UK opened their new pellet production plant with Greg Barker, Energy Minister in April 2011. With a small camera and sound crew we captured key events and speeches and quickly put together a short 3-minute ‘news’ film covering the event for Verdo’s web site.
NEW OPM Film on Natural Energy at the A P Chant Renewable Energy Centre (CORE) now available on-line. A P Chant is a successful Building Services company near Bridport, Dorset. The new Centre is a key part of their strategy to take renewables into the heart of the local economy by showing clients, schools and others the whole range of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in action. OPM filmed the official Centre opening by local MP Oliver Letwin, and produced a general introduction to Natural Energy and the Centre.

Filming Time-Lapse in Tough Weather!
New OPM Film for ‘Partnerships for Renewables’ (PFR) due out in late February. We have been filming the building of the twin 2.3MW wind turbines on the Isle of Sheppey since October 2012. Using GoPro camera time-lapse film capability, Helicam aerial photography (via our Associate Hexcam), and our HD cameras, we have interviewed key partners as well as the team involved in constructing this project.
